Ryan has been in lending since 2014 when he began with Kris as a lending underwriter. By working closely with Kris for years he has learnt lending policies amidst a changing market, and assisted in developing internal processes to ensure applications are handled in a streamlined fashion regardless of the nature of the deal. Over this time he has developed an in-depth understanding of bank lending criteria and the overall mortgage process.
In mid 2017 he transitioned into a newly established KPM position as a Key Account Manager, becoming an accredited Mortgage Adviser for our existing valued KPM clients. His role involves a number of aspects centred around his expertise with numbers such as the provision of annual financial reviews, obtaining lending where required, initiating contact to demonstrate how we can assist in terms of financial advice, risk management and other basic property investment advice for his portfolio of clients. These reviews are based on a clients’ goals and intentions, and ensuring clients are set-up appropriately to be on the path to reaching these goals. In addition Ryan loves working with new clients and highlighting the benefits of working with a broker from Kris Pedersen Mortgages.
Ryan consistently works towards providing as much information to the market as is possible through varying mediums, such as webinars and blogs for Auckland Property Investor’s association, and social media channels such as LinkedIn and our KPM Facebook Page.
Ryan's overall contribution to the mortgage industry and continuing levels of 'Excellent Service, Innovation and Thought Leadership' saw him receive the "Excellence in Advice" award from Financial Advice New Zealand in 2018 among Mortgage Advisers. In addition to this in early 2019 Ryan has been named as a top broker by NZ Advisers 2019 Young Guns.
Prior to working for KPM Ryan completed his Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) at Massey University, with a double-major in Accountancy and Marketing.
Property is his passion and Ryan currently owns two rental properties which he continually pursues ways to advance his real estate portfolio and develop his property investment knowledge. He is in the middle of building his first minor dwelling on one of these sites and will have this completed by the end of the year.
